We have been using the latest sonicwall vpn client on. This added the DNE LightWeight Filter network client to my 64-bit machine. I attempted to re-install, and run as Administrator, but the Deterministic Network Enhancer will. It seems the 64-bit installer for the VPN client can't modify the network settings to add the required "DNE LightWeight Filter" network client to the network adapter properties. In any event, the Mobile Connect client can be a bit of a PITA to set up for individual users in Windows 8.1 (RT or otherwise) because the VPN adapter cannot be added to the global VPN registry. The same article also contains full installation instructions and explains how to get Cisco VPN client working with Windows 10. But on my 32-bit Windows 10 VM the Cisco VPN Client worked OK. Right click on the netSWVNIC.inf file and select Install. The VPN seems connected but I cant connect to my server or transfer data. Some of the computers I was able to uninstall the update and get the VPN working again. As some of you know, update KB5009543 prevented us from creating VPN connections. To enable the virtual NIC, open an Explorer window and look for the SWVNIC folder. We use the SonicWall Global VPN Client as well as the built-in windows VPN to create VPN connections. I had this same problem with my 64-bit Windows 10. To start the IPSec driver, first start the IPSec Windows Service and then click the Start IPSec option in GVCutil.
